Douthat State Park

This October (2020), we took a trip into the mountains to see the fall colors. It was a great opportunity to get out of the house during Covid that would would still be social distancing. We went to Douthat State Park, and didn't do any of the hikes, other than walking around the falls and … Continue reading Douthat State Park

Dark Hollow Falls Trail

We did this trail in June 2017, it was a 1.4 mile hike that was pretty steep and difficult. The path was pretty narrow and at least in the summer there was a LOT of folks going up and down.

Natural Bridge State Park

In August 2017, the husband and I trekked over to see the Natural Bridge. This is more of a tourist thing than a "hike and backpack" trip, but it is still worth the trip. This was before Covid, so make sure you check the state park's webpage first before traveling. The hiking map is here. … Continue reading Natural Bridge State Park

The Bear Run Nature Reserve map is here. It's about a mile trip surrounding the house and you have a guide, … Continue reading Fallingwater

Grayson Highlands State Park

In August 2019, my Mom wanted to go to the highest mountain within Virginia, so a quick Google check led me to Mount Rogers. The drive was pretty long and roads are very rural once you get close, so keep that in mind when wanting food and gas. But the views were magnificant. This was … Continue reading Grayson Highlands State Park

Review: Too Invisible by DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan

Other Reviewers: Goodreads About 5 years ago I found the webpage Archive of Our Own and found the world of fanfiction.   There are those fan fictions that really feel more like porn with plot, and there are others that take the original world and build an even more varied and elaborate world.  One such … Continue reading Review: Too Invisible by DebsTheSlytherinSnapeFan

Review: Too Stupid to Live — by Anne Tenino

Other Reviewers: Goodreads I fell in love with Anne Tenino's writing when I read Frat Boy and Toppy. The combination of humor, depth, and Dominance/submission was just captivating. I always found the characters relatable and the story-lines funny and entertaining. Too Stupid to Live certainly hits the mark. Basic Plot: This story is about a … Continue reading Review: Too Stupid to Live — by Anne Tenino

I have loved AJ Rose's writing, starting with the amazing Power Exchange.  Back in November 2012, I wrote a review and gave it 5 Stars.  What … Continue reading Review: Queers — by AJ Rose
